Clearing brambles from the pedestrian walkway behind the Water Tower

Make the path safer and more accessible for local residents and visitors of the park

At a recent neighbourhood meeting, the bridleway/path behind the Water Tower was described by local residents as feeling unsafe, particularly for children. An inspection walk has identified two tasks that can have an immediate improvement on the path:

  1. Cutting back overhanging branches near the street lamps

  2. Cutting back the meters of brambles and overgrowth encroaching on the navigability of the path.

Friends of Park Hill have asked Goodgym if they can help with the second task, clearing the pathway and making it a more welcoming and safer route for local users.

All tools will be provided, although if you have some sturdy garden gloves of your own, please feel free to bring them!

We'll meet at the Ranger's station where the toilets are above the Walled Garden, if you're running late, feel free to head over to the path behind the water tower and meet us there
