The Task
Remember when we sorted the rockery on Markeaton Park? We’re back! & this time to support the group by getting the gardens ready for planting. We’ll be spreading fertiliser, so don your grubbiest clothes & let’s get smelly to do good... new catch phrase?
Our Base
Our start location every Tuesday is the Jury's Inn on King Street located in the City Centre, meeting at 6:15pm. You'll be able to leave bags in the luggage room & will have access to the toilets. The nearest car park is located on Chapel Street (DE1 3GU) & the Jury's Inn have kindly offered us a 20% discount on parking there, which you can redeem by taking your ticket to the hotel reception desk once we are back at base.
Everybody Welcome... really!
Our Group runs are suitable for all abilities. There will be a lead runner & a back-marker so that nobody is left behind & we reguarly regroup on the run to & from our task. Come do good & get fit with us... plus have lots of fun!

New to GoodGym?
This is a GoodGym group run, where we run to help a local community organisation and then run back.
New GoodGymers are welcome to GoodGym group runs - no one gets left behind. You're unlikely to be alone, hundreds of new people sign up every week.

Group run cancellation
Following extensive research, consultation with our trustees and work on how GoodGym as a community can play a positive role during the Coronavirus outbreak we have reached the conclusion to make extensive changes to our operations.
**All group runs will stop for the foreseeable future**
This decision has been made as these are the events at which most people gather and at which we are most at risk of spreading infection.
We will continue to update this page with our most up to date guidance:
