πββοΈ Excavating the Crystal Palace Museum Water Tower
Clearing weeds & rubble from this historic structure π€
Location
Date and time
19:00 - 20:30Please note that this group run has been cancelled.
Crystal Palace Museum is right next to an amazing Water Tower (only the base remains) which used to feed a fountain in a huge lake where the National Sports Centre now stands.
The museum team have plans to turn it into an exciting part of their site, but first it needs the vegetation, ivy and soil clearing out, which is where we come in.
Armed with shovels, trowels and some GoodGym muscle, we'll aim to get another section of the space cleared. There will be different jobs depending on how much of a workout you want. πͺ
It's a short jog (1.5km) to get there.
π Meet at the Bridge House from 6:45pm. You can leave coats etc with the bar staff.
πββοΈ 7pm group jog to the task
β 7:20 complete the task
πββοΈ 8pm group jog back to the Bridge House
π§ 8:30 go home/stick around for a drink
π New to running? We jog at a relaxed pace and always have a backmarker so no-one gets left behind.
β° Running late or donβt fancy the jog? Meet us at the task venue at 7:20pm
π‘𧀠Dress for the task/weather - gardening gloves for outside tasks, head torch for dark tasks.

Hey folks, sorry for the late notice but as there are low signups we're going to cancel this week's session. A great new task is lined up for the week after though - hope you can make it: https://www.goodgym.org/v3/sessions/new-task-removing-vegetation-from-an-overgrown-bed-with-invisible-palace
See you soon,
