10:30 - 13:30Earthwatch Europe are working in partnership with Pure DC to establish fruit trees at Wesley Playing Fields. Based on the top favourites chosen by the local community, they will be planting apple, pear, plum and strawberry treesπ³πππ. These fruit trees will be grown and shared by the community. They will produce delicious fruits for people to enjoy, attract pollinators and ground dwellers, help capture rain water, create a lovely community and opportunities to learn new skills.
You'll be planting nine fruit trees and learn from orchard experts about how to plant and take care of these trees. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

How long to stay: 10.30am-1.30pm (until all the trees are planted!) Please arrive towards the start so that everyone who would like to join in has a tree to plant. You are welcome to stay for as little or as long as you like.
What to wear: weather suitable clothes and footware that you don't mind getting muddy. Equipment will be provided on the day.
