C.R.O.WWelcome to GoodGym Liverpool
We're a friendly and social group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every Monday evening to get active and do a physical task to help the charities and community organisations and projects across Liverpool.
Most Group Runs will be lead one of our fabulous volunteer qualified Run Leaders, but watch out for ones listed as 'Social Runs' as this means no Run Leader is present but we still go out and run together keeping our 'no one left beind' GoodGym vibe in place!
The Task
A group of streets form a little triangle between the railway line, Rathbone Rd and Picton Rd in Wavertree. Set back from the hustle of the area the community are working to bring some love and togetherness back into streets. There is a small patch of wide pavement set back from one of the streets, and the neighbours created some raised beds and a seating are a few years ago, with a few people coming together to take care of the planting. But this year it's not has as much attention so they are looking to give it a boost with our help.
We'll be tidying up the planter with a spot of weeding and painting, sanding down the benches ready to paint again, and doing a litter pick of the surrounding streets.
Do wear clothes you are happy to paint in!
All tools will be provided but please bring your own gloves and wear your goodgym t-shirt so you are identifiable to the lovely neighbours. Task Location: https://what3words.com/tapes.again.haven The Community garden is just at the end of Edington and Taunton Street
The Run
Runners meet at the Suitcases on Hope Street ready for 6:30pm for a warm up and a run to the task. It's about a 2.2 mile run What 3 Words meet up link
For anyone that prefers not to run there is always the option to meet at the task location ready for 6:55pm, just let us know in the comments or WhatsApp group and we'll share the task meet up point once we know the full details of the task. If getting a bus, there are several that stop on Picton Rd or Rathbone Rd, just a 2 minute walk to the meeting point.
