GoodGym Brent: Moving soil into raised beds for elderly residents in Brent…Take Two!

We are moving the soil before the growing season begins will mean residents can get growing!

The projects have been started to help residents grow food, flowers, and herbs on their doorstep. Without access to allotments or community gardens at an accessible distance, these gardens that suit the elderly residents' specific access needs are to be key points of community for residents.

We need to have 12 800L dump bags of soil moved into the existing and new raised beds. Seeds for growth are a community growing charity supporting these residents but they need people to come and help move the soil!

In our first session we moved soil out of three of the bags , nine more to go !
