Date and time
18:30 - 20:30Please note that this group run has been cancelled.
It's group run night and we are heading to Old Alleynian Sports Club where Ian needs our help with overgrown grass, brambles, and ivy along the sides of the grounds.
Old Alleynian Sports Club is a Community Amateur Sports Club providing rugby playing opportunities for U6s – U18s, with around 700 players of which ~100 are girls. The club is run by volunteers with all their coaches also volunteers. They also run four senior sides on a Saturday and offer community touch rugby – all players over 14 years old can join in – free of charge.
New to GoodGym Southwark?
It can be daunting coming to your first group run but we are a nice welcoming bunch! All abilities welcome, whether you're a new runner or have been running for years.
Important Information
We meet at Old Spike Cafe in Peckham from 18:30 for a 18:45 start. You can leave bags in the cafe and use their toilets before we head out if you need to. If meeting at the task, be there for 19:15. Address is Old Alleynians Rugby Club, Dulwich Common, London, SE21 7HA.
After a warm-up, we run together as a group. If there are loads of us, there will be a back marker to ensure no one is left behind. On this run, we will be running 3km to Old Alleynians (aiming to get to the task in 20 minutes). We will spend 45-50 minutes doing the tasks Ian has for us then run 3km back to Peckham (back by 20:30 latest).
Bring a head torch and gardening gloves if you have them.

There's space to change and leave bags and toilets. We're not planning to do anything purposefully dangerous, but GoodGym takes no responsibility for your safety during group runs, you participate at your own risk.
