Additional testing for people with no symptoms in order to break chains of transmissions
Location
Date and time
11:00 - 13:00Please note that this community mission has been cancelled.
City of York Council Public Health Team are deploying mobile testing to the areas with the highest rate of cases in order to break chains of transmission and test people with no symptoms.
We were asked to assist with mobile testing unit situated at the Acorn Rugby Club car park.
There will be one way system for both cars and people on foot that are coming to get tested.
The task is to help to organise these two groups to make sure everyone is in the correct place and the process can run as smoothly as possible. You will be working alongside the mobile testing unit staff to ensure all is in order and the residents are well briefed on the process.
The task is outside, so wear clothing appropriate to the weather.
Please bring your own face mask. Gloves and other PPE will be available on site with the mobile testing unit team.
How are you getting there?

Public Health have communicated that the site is overstaffed due to the MTU arrangement with a security company. The security company is now doing the tasks that we were supposed to. Public Health were not aware of that at the time of requesting the task with us. On a positive note we have made a link and the Public Health who are looking how we can fit with vaccination sites and other COVID-19 stuff in York.
