Parkview Care HomeWelcome to GoodGym Bexley!
We're a friendly group that combines exercise with practical help for local community organisations and charities. Every Wednesday evening we get together and head to an organisation to complete a physical task that makes a real difference. Afterwards we often go to a nearby pub or cafΓ© for some social time together.
To get there we offer an optional group run. Whether you're an experienced runner or just starting out, everyone is welcome. We'll run at a pace that keeps the group together, and no one is ever left behind.
Let's Lift the Curfew 2026: join us for a special session
Tonight we're joining forces with This Girl Can and their Let's Lift the Curfew campaign.
When the clocks go back on Sunday 25 October, millions of women across the UK will once again see their world get smaller as the nights get darker.
Safety concerns affect where they go, when they go, who they go with and whether they can be active outdoors at all.
Whether shaped by past experiences, stories they've heard, or not feeling comfortable or confident in a particular place after dark, many women are unable to be active outdoors or use public spaces in the same way that men do.
In fact, nearly three-quarters (72%) of women in the UK change their outdoor activity routines during winter. Let's Lift the Curfew challenges this reality to ensure no woman has to change where, when or how she gets active because of safety concerns.
You can read about, and complete, GoodGym's own training on this issue here.
π―The task
The team at Parkview Care Home have asked us to help residents carve pumpkins ready for Halloween.
We had a spook-tacular time doing this last year, so weβre back for another round of pumpkin fun, creativity and plenty of Halloween vibes.
Bring your best spooky spirit β and prepare to have a gourd time!
