The GoodGym January Challenge is back! From the 1st to the 31st of January, across the country, we are going to walk, run and cycle to complete as many good deeds as we can!

Building works continues around Brighthelm Centre creating disruption in and out of the building.

❓ What is the Task?

We will be: * Clean indoors, as instructed, * Clearing autumnal leaves outdoors, if provided gardener instructions, * Picking up rubbish all around the building.

📍 Where?

  • If running/walking, meet at 6:15pm @ Queen's Victoria Statue (Victoria Gardens), in Brighton to leave soon after and no later than 6:25pm;
  • If late, meet at task from 6:30pm @ Brighthelm Centre, (please note entrance from the back garden).

🧤 Anything Else I Need to Know?

  • Access from Church Street (back of the garden) due to building works,
  • Bring garden and household cleaning gloves - I will bring some :-),
  • Dress up well for this task, indoor and outdoor,
  • Zumba vibes will be our background music,
  • ! Headtorches are essential.

GoodGym Brighton is gamed for the January Challenge!

Welcome Challenger!

All good deeds and distance you record on Strava will go towards our community target of 4500 good deeds, and 60,000km covered nationwide.

If ever there was a reason to join us, this is it 🙌.

And, don't forget to log on all your good deeds on your GoodGym profile and your run-kms on your Strava profile/club GoodGym to participate in the January Challenge. HERE's how to.

Are you on a mission to do a 5K parkrun or even a marathon during 2026?

Mine is just to keep up with running together with my GoodGym mates :-). Here are some tips on how to move from the Couch to 5Kto gradually work up towards running 5km in just 9 weeks to run with us at our local parkruns.

Happy GoodGym-ing!

Walkable

You will be able to join a group walking to the task if you'd prefer not to run.

Options are available to run between 2km and 4km in total

Remember that we run/walk to and from the task, so you'll only be running/walking for half this distance in one go.

This is a standard GoodGym group run. If you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us.
