Craft Coop CIC
Craft Coop has gained a reputation as a beautiful, award-winning shop full of unique, handcrafted products, but it's more than just the go to shop for a special gift. As a social enterprise business, Craft Coop gives over 200 local craftspeople the opportunity to trade in a High Street shop, provides business and social support, works with various charities and other organisations both in the shop and offsite, and helps bring vitality to Town Centres. Above all, Craft Coop is about Community.

This is a task you can complete at home whenever you have a spare moment. Led by Craft Coop CIC in partnership with local schools, community groups and veterans’ organisations, this is a project for everyone. The plan is for thousands of handmade poppies to be used to decorate the outside of St John the Baptist Church in Windsor All textile poppies are welcome — knitted, crocheted, sewn or felted, any size. You can use one of the patterns in the link below or create your own, but please ensure they are in the classic red and black colours. We also ask that poppies are weather-proof as they will be subjected to November weather for a couple of weeks. You can use your own wool/fabric scraps, but if you need any materials please ask Sheila as we may be able to provide some.

More information and patterns can be found here

Ideas and progress can be shared in the GG crafters WhatsApp group - let Sheila know if you would like to join this group (or write in the comments below). Have fun! Please send any photos / stories / comments to Sheila for the report.
