Join Jen from TCV (The conservation volunteers) at this session to remove invasive Himalayan Balsam plants from the riverbanks and make space for native species. This will help preserve the precious chalk stream habitat.

The team are meeting at the footpath beside the Hockwell Ring Community Centre at 10:15 am and will then go to work in the river. If you're arriving later you will either find them working in the river or having tea or lunch breaks. However much time you're able to contribute will be very much appreciated, but you don't need to stay all day!

The area you'll be working in may have a lot of stinging nettles so long trousers and sleeves will be best. If you have welliesdo bring them, but wellies are available from Jen also if you don't.

How are you getting there?
