Removing silt from the river steps to help rebuild the river bank
Repair the river bank near the swan sanctuary

Date and time
18:30 - 19:30This one could be messy! The Swan Food Project are working on a project to repair the river bank which needs lots of mud! Luckily there is already lots of mud on the steps opposite the Rectifying House that shouldn't be there so our task will be to bag this up, load it into a car then help unload at the other end.
It's a double whammy of clearing the steps to make them more accessible and then making use of the material further down the bank. You'll get to wield a shovel to fill the bags, do some lifting and then get a short run down the bank to help unload.
The whole session will take about an hour so there won't be much of a run before and afterwards but the exercising is built into the task.
Bring clothes that you don't mind getting a bit dirty.
Unfortunately there is only enough kit for 6 people on this task so sign up early if you'd like to get involved.
