School grounds development
Enable children who often have limited access to outdoor experiences other than those provided by the school to enjoy playing and learning outside. Current activities include Forest School, growing fruit and vegetables, tree planting, holiday provision for children on free school meals and taking the curriculum outdoors. The school is keen to increase opportunities for parents and carers to be involved in working alongside their children but needs to carry out preparation work to clear external areas so that tasks are not too overwhelming for those with no previous experience.

We'll be heading on up to Norfolk Community Primary School to meet with headteacher Cath Wittingham and colleagues to help improve the school grounds so that the children will have improved opportunities to play and learn outside.

We'll be clearing and tidying the school grounds, including litter picking, trimming trees and bushes, repositioning outdoor furniture, dismantling fences and sheds.

Risks: General hazards associated with clearing and tidying external areas.

Staff will be on site to advise/support. A skip will be available.

Please bring gardening gloves or similar with you.

Options are available to run between 3km and 4km in total

Remember that we run to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.

This is a standard GoodGym group run. If you can't run for more than 15mins without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us.

There's space to change and leave bags and toilets. We're not planning to do anything purposefully dangerous, but GoodGym takes no responsibility for your safety during group runs, you participate at your own risk. Participants accept full responsibility for items stored at Showroom Cinema, and Showroom Cinema and GoodGym will not be held liable for any losses or damages.
