Help raise funds for local charities and have a dazzling evening

Kingston Firework DisplayPlease note that this community mission has been cancelled.
The Kingston Fireworks Display is organised by Kingston Rotary and Round Table Clubs: Surplus proceeds go to local charities, with just 3 hours work you can help raise considerable funds to enable us to give financial assistance to local charities. We have established an excellent safety record but this can only continue if we have sufficient helpers. Our joint Club members are all volunteers and do not get paid - can GoodGym help them out?!
Tasks
Evening - usually 5:40 pm to 8:45 pm - in pairs acting as marshals or checking tickets at the entrance.
Risks
Potential for trips and slips on wet grass or running track edge. Sparklers in the crowd. Potential of crowd management and anti-social behaviour but stewards work in pairs (so sign up with a friend!) and there is a police presence.
Notes
For the evening session volunteers will need to be 18 or over and not accompanied by children. Written briefing instructions will be given a few days before the event as well as verbal instruction on the day. Warm clothing and appropriate footwear for wet grass. A torch will be useful but not essential.
The task owner is Alan and his number is 07976757822.
How are you getting there?

Thank you for signing up for this task however it has, unfortunately been cancelled. This is Kingston Rotary's official statement:
"It is with great sadness that we are announcing the cancellation of the Fireworks Display at the Kingston Weir Archer Athletics Stadium this year. Despite our best efforts to meet all the demands of putting on the display including meeting the more stringent regulations covering crowd safety issues, it has become clear that we are not able to put on an event similar to those in the past."
