The Battersea Summer Scheme has organises day trips, residential courses and sports events for young people, especially those from the poorer and more deprived areas of Battersea.

This year they are putting on Battersea’s Big Play Out, Monday 28 th July to Friday 1 st August.

It's a week of lively and enjoyable activities in Battersea Park, attended by approximately 1,500 young people per day, where they can try an array of sports and testing challenges, such as the high ropes or trapeze courses. Police and local council bodies also provide community and careers advice and there are musical activities and a diverse range of workshops.

The event would not be possible without this help from volunteers. There will be a variety of roles to choose from, from practical tasks, to face painting (very simple designs!) to sports activities and more.

Please head to the BSS desk (on the map here), your point of contact on the day is Vanessa Wride, 07394 585681. Please say you are from GoodGym when you arrive!
