Date and time
08:30 - 09:30We love Parkrun and try and support as much as possible.
Come and support Hove Prom Park Parkrun held every Sunday at 9. You don’t need any experience of parkrun or of volunteering. There are a range of roles to choose from, and there is something for everyone at parkrun: you could be setting up the course, scanning people’s barcodes at the finish or ensuring everyone gets safely around the route as a marshal.
Please note: you must contact the Hove Prom parkrun directly via emailing to hovepromenade@parkrun.com to register as a volunteer prior to the event HERE.
If you want to join us to volunteer, come at the briefing at the Hove Chalet at 8.30 and bring your Parkrun ID. Please include your full name and, if you know it, your parkrun ID found on your barcode.
New to parkrun?
Parkrun is a free, community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate. We are spoilt for choice in Brighton and Hove with 5 parkruns across the city. Brighton GoodGym-ers love to run them or volunteer. Saturday morning events are 5K and take place in parks and open spaces. You can run, walk or volunteer at parkruns.
👉 Remember, it's FREE, but you can register HERE: https://www.parkrun.org.uk/register/ to keep a profile and register the parkruns you run, your times, and volunteering task covered, etc.
For some roster volunteering roles, you might need the official parkrun App to get timing and scanning. You can find details HERE and a video on how to use it HERE.
On the day: If you’re not sure of your weekend plans and don’t want to commit in advance, just turn up and talk to the volunteers when you arrive.
What to look out for
Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in any GoodGym session. Looking out for each other! GoodGym is a community and it's important we look out for each other's safety as well as our own.
Parkruns are events not organised by GoodGym and GoodGym takes no responsibility for your participation in the event. But, as responsible GoodGym-er we follow GoodGym Code of Conduct at our meet ups at any local parkrun.
REMEMBER to associate you parkrun profile to the group/club: GoodGym-Brighton and to share your photos :-)
