Monthly Task at St Nicks Environment Reserve
Help keep this environmental centre thriving!
Please note that this group run has been cancelled.
Welcome to GoodGym York!
We're a friendly and social group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. Every Monday we meet to get active and do a physical task to help the charities or community organisations in our city.
WHERE WE MEET
We meet at the Priory Street Centre and our usual room is the Denham Room. As you approach the front of the Centre, turn right and go through the double doors. The room we use is locked whilst we're out so you can leave your bits and bobs in there. Street parking is available on Priory Street and costs £2 after 6pm. The nearest car park is Nunnery Lane.
THE TASK
The task will be at the wonderful St. Nicks Nature reserve, we will see closer to the date what Maria and Jonathan have in store for us!
RUNNING AND WALKING WITH US
GoodGym is for everyone. We welcome runners of all abilities and if the task is close enough we have a walking group too. Each task will list whether it is walkable or not.
We always have a back-marker too so nobody will get left behind - no matter what your pace is.
POST-RUN SOCIAL
Every week we head to Brigantes after our run for a spot of liquid refreshment and a good chat. Please join us!

York
New to GoodGym?
This is a GoodGym group run, where we run to help a local community organisation and then run back.
New GoodGymers are welcome to GoodGym group runs - no one gets left behind. You're unlikely to be alone, hundreds of new people sign up every week.

We meet in the conference room of York CVS. The door to the conference rooms is around to the right of the main entrance and the Denham Room is the very first room on the right as you enter.

Yorkie Trainer. Fan of irresponsibly signing up for races longer than I am capable of. Lover of all things York and Goodgym!

IMPORTANT - Group run cancellation
Following extensive research, consultation with our trustees and work on how GoodGym as a community can play a positive role during the Coronavirus outbreak we have reached the conclusion to make extensive changes to our operations. **All group runs will stop for the foreseeable future** - this includes this week’s runs. This decision has been made as these are the events at which most people gather and at which we are most at risk of spreading infection.
We will continue to update this page with our most up to date guidance - https://www.goodgym.org/stories/coronavirus-information-for-goodgym-activities
