Head, shoulders, hips and toes!

Wednesday 26th March

🔥 Epic Night Session with the Crew! 🔥

What a fantastic workout with Emily, Nico, Ale, Ged, and Karen! 💪🏽✨ We smashed a full-body circuit, pushing our limits and wrapping up with a solid running session to boost fitness and melt away stress. 🏃‍♂️💨

We kicked things off at Kingsmead with a proper warm-up to stay injury-free. Then, it was time for upper-body strength—pull-ups, press-ups, and core burners. 😤🔥 But here’s the twist: after each set, we hit an 800m run around the park. Talk about endurance!

We finished strong with a deep stretch and headed home feeling recharged and unstoppable. 🙌🏽

Nothing beats sweating it out while sharing good vibes, great conversations, and stress relief. 💯 Who’s in for the next one? Let’s go! 🚀💥

Welcome Nico and thanks again Emily for join us last night!

Sun is out and garden ready to enjoy!

Friday 21st March

A Meaningful Session with Food Friends 🌿🌞

Today, one Taskforce owner came to support a friend in need through Food Friends. She faces social anxiety and physical challenges, and giving her garden a fresh new look means creating a space where she can truly relax and enjoy the beauty of Spring.

Before getting to work, I kicked things off with a 3 km run. Then, Anna and I teamed up to tidy up the garden—removing weeds, trimming the grass, and making everything look neat and inviting. In just 90 minutes, we transformed the space, and seeing her friend’s happiness made it all worthwhile.

A huge thank you to Anna for her help—your kindness and effort made a real difference! 💚✨

Ready or not, here we come... to clean and run!

Wednesday 12th March

Written by Juan Villasmil

It was great to welcome Jamshed for his first session, and Emily - who’s been a dedicated GoodGymer since 2021 in York and now in Canterbury - brought her amazing energy as always!

We kicked things off with a scenic 3km run around the university, even taking a little detour inside to admire how beautiful the campus is.

After that, we got stuck into some impactful litter-picking around Military Road and St. Thomas Primary School. Together, we filled an entire 80-liter bin bag with rubbish! 🚮💪 Among the haul were plenty of e-cigarettes and cans, helping to make the area cleaner and safer for everyone.

Huge thanks to Emily and Jamshed for their enthusiasm - can't wait for the next one! 🌟

Thanks to Ewa Mat and John Long for joining tonight! The weather was great and perfect for that 3 km run. We met at Christ Church Sport center and warm up before our run around the university and town center. After we walked around city center to share some info about Goodgym and hand some flyers! Everyone was very interested and happy to know about Goodgym in Canterbury. Soon we will have a bigger community around to help others and have fun getting fit!

Two runners on the lose for a cleaner town

Wednesday 5th February

Written by Juan Villasmil

Thanks to Ewa for joining last night session! She just hear from a friend about Goodgym and decided to join me and make the city center a bit cleaner!

We ran 3 km around Christ Church University! We start with 8 min warm up to avoid any injuries and some stretches after the run. Weather was good for a light running session.

The University was very kind to share the lockers and Sports Center facilities! After a nice pace run we decided to walk around the town center and Military Road to do some litter picking!

It feels good to have a cleaner town! Hope next time more people can join us!

Saturday 25th January

GoodGym Canterbury Kicks Off with an Amazing First Session!

Last Saturday, GoodGym Canterbury marked its debut with an energetic and inspiring first session that left everyone buzzing with excitement and potential!

The amazing morning began with a warm-up that got hearts pumping and spirits high, preparing the group for what lay ahead. The main session featured a scenic 3 km run, providing the perfect balance of challenge and enjoyment. Post-run, we focused on stretching to cool down and keep those muscles happy and ready for the next adventure.

Five enthusiastic participants with different fitness levels joined us for this milestone event, each bringing their unique energy and commitment to making a difference. Along the way, we had meaningful conversations about the positive impact GoodGym can have on Canterbury and its community. From helping neighbours in need to tackling local projects, the possibilities feel endless!

We also discussed how fitness and community spirit go hand-in-hand with GoodGym. With the right guidance, anyone can build their fitness while giving back to the place they call home.

It was incredible to see this group come together, united by a shared passion for running, helping, and making Canterbury stronger. We are already looking forward to the next session, this is just the beginning!

See you next time, team Goodgymers!
