Juno and I helped with set up, marshaling, and post event clear up at Fletcher Moss parkrun event #229. The morning November rain made it wet underfoot and a bit muddy in places.
Despite the rain, lots of runners (417) came out for our 6th birthday (or as close to) for the event! Thank you to all the 24 volunteers who helped out!

Happy Birthday parkrun
It was the 20th (ish) birthday for parkrun with events up and down the country marking it in various ways. We sang happy birthday at Fletcher Moss with a cake expertly prepared by RD Mike.
As for the run, Juno and I helped with the set up and clear up plus marshaled cheat's corner to ensure everyone completed their 2 laps before going to the finish. For event #223, 442 runners and walkers completed the 5 km course. Thank you to the 17 volunteers who helped out on a crisp autumn morning.
After the parkrun, I ran to Levenshulme village green to help out with bulb planting with Levenshulme in Bloom. An hour of digging and planting was a nice way to spend Saturday morning. Something to look out for in the spring time!
