Samina, Sofia, Sabina, Glava and Pete met at Beer n Burger. We then jogged /walked to St Luke's church in West Kilburn to meet Leslie. We met up with Dennis on the way. Leslie showed us what to do and gave us buckets and cleaning materials. We were soon washing and drying the church's back windows until they were gleaming. We then made time, thanked Leslie and jogged back to Beer n Burger for a well-earned drink 🍸 It was great to welcome Sofia for her first Goodgym Brent session and great to see Sabina who was back for a visit. Great work everyone 👏

Josh, Samina and Pete met at Beer n Burger, did a warm up and jogged 3.6km to Granville road play area where we met Sadie and Imogen and Beatriz and Lee. Josh and Beatriz had recently completed 50 and 10 group runs respectively so congratulations to both of them. Sadie dolled out the tools and gloves. We weeded the central garden area around the wooden frames and cleared quite a lot of brush. We were in good spirits only dampened by one brief short shower. The area was left a lot clearer. We put away tools then jogged back to B and B for a quick drink, chips and a nice chat. Well done!

Josh and Pete met at Mencap and jogged to Granville community centre, met Leslie then proceeded to clean some of their dirty, greasy kitchen trolleys. Soon after Lee, then Becka arrived and we continued to scrub and wash trolleys, fridges and microwave. Turned out sparkling. A good job done. Granville do a great job for the community organising a healthy food bank twice a week, education, dance classes, gardening and so much more. We hope they stay open for a long time yet. We then departed, Becka running home, good luck in your forthcoming Hackney Half, while the other 3 jogged and walked back to Beer n burger in Willesden Green, where a good pint was enjoyed over a good boy's chat. Well done everyone, see you soon.

On Monday night Goodgym Brent ran to Granville Kitchen where we helped give a deep clean. They had three large fridges that needed work plus a huge dirty cooker. We scrubbed , washed and wiped until it shone
