Four Goodgymers walked to Snow Island twirling our litter pickers Charlie Chaplin style. We picked up six bags of litter along the way. Well done team!

It was cold enough to snow tonight, but in the absence of any white stuff GoodGym Huddersfield still spent an hour clearing litter from Snow Island and the surrounding area.
It was encouraging that we didn't have to remove as much rubbish as usual from the Riverside Way. But as ever the efforts of GoodGymmers Kati Law, Ben Godfrey, Louise Galvin and Emma Kirkby-Geddes made this little corner of Huddersfield a better place to be.

I love Snow Island, GoodGym's adopted section of the Riverside Way. I especially love it when there's not too much litter to pick.
This evening Kati Law and I had a quick spin around the Island and were pleased to find very little litter. Snow Island tided we did a bit more litter pucking around the student accommodation where the pickings were somewhat richer.

For tonight's task we went to the movies.....well we cleared up rubbish around the university's Patrick Stewart film studios anyway.
We litter picked half a dozen bags of rubbish from around Snow Island, the studios and the Riverside Way. Well done Kati Law, Louise Galvin and Wendy Redmile.

Following a very pleasant run along the canal, Kati Law, Ben Godfrey and I spent an hour uprooting hundreds of invasive Himalayan Balsam plants which have become prevalent in the banks of the River Colne.

After parkrun two GoodGymmers headed down to the River Colne to help clear debris off the path, making this beautiful riverside spot more accessible for everyone.
