We’ve done some weeding. New plants have been watered. This was really important because of the heatwave and a lack of rain. Highlight of the day was tasting berries.

The raspberry border had finally managed to win over it's patch back from the weeds, Good Gymers got to work on the square patch where the weeds were back. The defending raspberries were heavily outnumbered, almost subdue under antagonist's canopy. For now the patch was defended. Expect sprout back.

On top of the usual maintenance tasks at the berry maze, we managed to dig out an old fence post that had snapped at the base, and postcrete a new post in. everyone chipped in as we took turns with a challenging dig. Great work everybody! thank you and see you again for the next session

The raspberries haven't had this much real estate to breath and drink in a long time. But our dedicated team of weed rippers sorted that out in no time! Barny and Jackie were very grateful that this monstrous task was done so well.
The work was partly sponsored by warm drinks and biscuits that the Berry Maze have been providing recently too, which we're very grateful of too!
Thanks for coming everyone, see you again next month!
