The GoodGym Lambeth crew were out in force this week, and what a force they were! 💥
Our merry band of do-gooders assembled at the legendary Papa’s HQ, laced up their trainers, and set off for a quick loop around the block before getting stuck into some seriously satisfying border edging back at base. 🏃♂️💨
Now, some people might think border edging sounds like a snooze. Those people have clearly never seen THIS lot with a spade. 😤🔥
Our small but perfectly formed squad — Tilly, Michael, Dan, Ben, Marie-Noelle, and a very special welcome to first-timer Alfie 🎉🍾 — absolutely smashed it from start to finish. Six heroes. One mission. Zero untidy borders. 🌱
A MASSIVE shoutout has to go to the one, the only, Tilly 🦸♀️ who stepped up as run leader this evening while the usual boss was away. She kept the troops in line, the pace on point, and the vibes absolutely immaculate. We’re not saying she was born to lead… but she was born to lead. 🤩
Session well and truly nailed. 💪🏼 The borders have been edged, the kilometres have been run, and the community is just that little bit tidier thanks to you legends. 😱❤️
Check out the pics — they say a thousand words, but we think “flipping brilliant” just about covers it. 📸✨
See you next time, GoodGym Lambeth! 🏃♀️🏃♂️💚

GoodGym Lambeth Run Report: Operation Soggy Spruce-Up! 🌧️💪
What a turnout! Despite Mother Nature’s best efforts to rain on our parade (literally), our incredible crew showed up in drench-force! 🌊 Everyone arrived looking like they’d already done a charity swim, but that didn’t dampen our spirits one bit!
*The Mission: Time to give our beloved base at Papa’s Park some serious TLC. *
We weeded out the competition (literally - those pesky plants didn’t stand a chance!), gave the place a good litter pick, and showed those railings what elbow grease really means. They’re now so clean you could eat your dinner off them… though we don’t recommend it! 🍽️✨
The Result: Those railings are absolutely railing it now - shinier than a new penny and gleaming with pride! ❤️ Papa’s Park is looking park-ticularly magnificent thanks to our green-thumbed heroes.
The Vibes: Despite being absolutely soaked to the bone, the chat was flowing faster than the rainwater, and the energy was absolutely TOP TIER! 💪🏼🍾 Nothing says team bonding quite like squelching around together in soggy trainers, am I right?
Proof that GoodGym Lambeth doesn’t let a little (okay, a LOT of) rain stop us from making our community bloom! 🌱🌟

🏃♀️🌱 This week our lovely bunch of fitness fanatics and gardening gladiators headed to Landor Road Allotments to lend Valcie a helping hand - and boy, did we dig right in! 🏃♂️💨
Our green-fingered gang tackled:
The team worked so hard, you could say we were absolutely plant-astic! 🌻
But wait, there’s more! The real magic happened when the sun went down and the party vibes came up! Our late summer social was absolutely mint to be! 🌿✨
Everyone brought something delicious to share (because good food + good people = thyme well spent! ⏰🌿). We spread out under the stars for an evening picnic that was simply un-beet-able! 🥗🎵
The 90s playlist had everyone feeling nostalgic - from Blue Dabadee to Gangsters Paradise, we were grow-ving to the beat all night long! 🎶 And yes, there may have been some questionable karaoke performances under the lamplight that had us all in stitches (the good kind, not the running kind!) 🎤💡
A lovely time was had by all, and we proved once again that the best way to turnip the fun is by mixing fitness, community service, and good friends!
Until next week, keep on running and keep on growing! 🏃♀️🌱💚
GoodGym Lambeth - where we work out while we help out!

🏃♀️🌱
Well, well, well... what do you know? Our usual standing task decided to leaf us hanging this week! 🍃 But did we let that weed us out? Absolutely not! Instead, we rose to the occasion and headed to Papa's Park for some proper gardening action.
Our fabulous crew laced up for a scenic 2km loop to Clapham and back - because nothing says "warm-up" like a gentle jog before you get down and dirty with some serious weeding!
Once we arrived at Papa's Park, we split into two crack teams of vegetation vigilantes:
Team Planter Power took on the inside job - pulling weeds and taming the escaped greenery around the planters. These green-fingered heroes really knew how to turnip the heat! 🌿
Team Perimeter Patrol tackled the wild frontier along the outside edge, hacking away at the rebellious weeds that had clearly been growing a bit too big for their boots. Talk about mint to be! 🌱
We're absolutely Dan-de-lighted to have Dan back with us tonight! 🦸♂️ Fresh from his Superman audition for the new movie (seriously, Dan, please don't do your own stunts - we need you in one piece for future weeding missions!). His return really helped us turnip the energy levels!
Another classic GoodGym session in the books! We came, we saw, we weeded - and Papa's Park is looking fresh thanks to our green-thumbed heroes.
Until next week, keep growing that GoodGym spirit!
Remember: We're not just running from our problems - we're running TO make a difference! 💪🌟

The crew were out in good numbers last night despite the drastic drop in temperature - Spring reverting to Winter - and we were ready to set off and help out Valcie from Papa's Park at the Landor Road allotments.
First up we were delighted to welcome Perdie to the Lambeth group for her first session - great to have you with us!
Tilly, Ben and Fi then joined us and we set off on a loop via Clapham North to Landor Road and despite being hesitant about the run portion, Perdie decided to join and in the end made it round no problem.
On arrival Matt was there to let us in and show us the tasks and our cyclists Marie-Noelle and Paul were there to meet us as well. The tasks were simple clear out the alkanet from as much of the plot as we could and once the tools were distributed we hit the ground hard.
By 8pm we had cleared a huge tract and Matt was surprised that we had filled the tonne bag full of weeds and grass and that was time for this session.
And so we set off back to base, a few cheeky Haribo were shared to keep our blood sugar levels even (...!) and we look forward to the next session and hopefully some better weather as well. Valcie was very pleased and sent her thanks to the group as well.
See you next time - Let's Go Lambeth!!

We were back at Papa's last night for the group session and our task was to spruce and tidy the place up and had a lovely group of 6 volunteers ready and looking forward to helping out.
First things first we welcomed a new GGer to the group - Alicia wonderful to have you with us!
After a quick document check three of the group - Tilly (back for 2025!), Ben (racking up those session nos!) and AA Yianny headed out for a 3km ring round the local streets to get warmed up and our heart rates going before arriving back at Papa's to get started on our task.
With Michael and Batman - sorry Adam now with us (sorry Adam I simply couldn't resist....) black bags were issued and then the group headed along the railings to dig up all the weeds which have made their re-appearance as they do since we last tidied up! 6 or 7 black bags later we had completed all the borders which was very satisfying and the group could enjoy some sweet treats before heading off home for well deserved dinner.
It's the final week of the January Challenge so if you are able to make it down to any of the Community Missions please do - let's see how close we can get to our target!
