Two GoodGymers turned out for volunteering duties at Peckham Rye junior parkrun, helping the event run smoothly from start to finish. One marshalled the course, another tail walked to make sure no junior was left behind, and together they went the extra mile so local youngsters could enjoy a safe and supportive run.
No PBs needed when you're powering a community event. Just plenty of cheer, volunteer spirit, and another run-derful morning of giving back the GoodGym way! 👏💚🏃♂️🏃♀️

Without Volunteers, Junior parkrun would be stuck at the starting line, so it was great to see Goodgymers helping make the event a run-away success. Every high-five, cheer and barcode scan helpa young runners develop healthy habits for the future.

There was no running away from volunteering this week as three GoodGymers joined the Peckham Rye Junior parkrun core team. Armed with high-vis vests and barcode scanners, they marshalled the course, scanned the results, and helped keep another fantastic event on track for young runners and their families. 🏃⚡

The Run Director was so happy to see the four GoodGym volunteers who sprinted to the rescue at Peckham Rye junior parkrun on 2 August 2026, keeping the event running smoothly through the summer slump and proving that even when the season gets hot, the volunteering spirit never breaks a sweat, a reminder that showing up early is the best way to start the day on the right foot and outrun the duvet

With England’s battle against France still sparking excitement, the young runners at Peckham Junior parkrun were raring to go on a sun-soaked morning. Three GoodGymers joined the core team to help the event score another cracking success, bringing plenty of energy, encouragement and community spirit. The juniors flew around the course with football-inspired flair, proving that when pace meets play, everyone’s a winner. There were no offsides, plenty of fast breaks, and one clear goal throughout the morning, cross the finish line smiling!
