A national community of communities making Christmas Day special for people who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day.
The Christmas Dinner, founded by poet Lemn Sissay OBE, brings communities together to provide a Christmas Day for care leavers, aged between 18 and 25. Since 2014, The Hackney Christmas Dinner celebrates with 50 young people from across East London. For many young people leaving care, this may be their first Christmas living independently - and alone. We provide an abundance of gifts, a superb Christmas Dinner meal, fun, games and company on Christmas Day.
