We started with lifting bags that were downstairs up to the front door ready to leave the store then boxed items and loads of bags of shoes for the re stoke of the the whole store.
Then it came time to start unloading the hugest boxes full of stock that was ready to be hung upstairs. Seeing all the new stock come out its tempting to come back and purchase some!
We then took a break from that as the delivery truck arrived to take away the old stock and bring in all the new stuff for the stock room down stairs. The bags came flying down the stairs where we formed a chain to pass them to the stock area.
We left the shop staff to finish with the hanging and visual merchandising
Very good work out!

2 goodgym members made their way to Traid in Camden to support with a restock of their entire store. We organised the accessories stand (in colour order of course) and made several shoe displays.

Phew, what a mission! Every 3 months the TRAID volunteers empty the shop and replace with completely new stock. Me and Patrick turned up about 6pm and the store volunteers had already been working for an hour to clear the racks and bag up the clothes to go back to the warehouse. I helped with this task for a bit, then joined Patrick hauling bags of goods up from the basement. Once the bags were cleared we moved on the the HUGE boxes of new clothes and quickly mastered carrying a pile of clothes upstairs on both arms.
The store was very warm so it was hard work going up and down the stairs in the heat. Once we were finished we ventured to McDonald's to sample the new Tiramisu McFlurry, which I give 10/10. We were both heading straight to another task with Islington so it was a great energy boost.

Lots of work and some busy trade down at the Camden TrAID charity shop last night, helping to clear up after their sale and completely restock for the new season! Rob and I, alongside energetic shop staff, helped to pack heavy sacks, offload deliveries, fill trolleys, match shoes, (then unmatch shoes), sweep floor, and restock rails and displays. All in an evening’s work! Pop down into the shop this week to see the fruit of everyone’s labour and maybe even nab some snazzy second hand bargains.
