It was a chilly but as always sunny morning at Hillside Gardens. About 50 baby trees had arrived last week and so we were helping Tom and some local residents to plant them before the ground gets too hard and frosty.
Both sides of the fence were mulched, had trees planted and protected with stakes and covers in just under an hour.
We'll be back at Hillside again in January for more gardening!

Amy Lane earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Amy completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Amy was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

4 amazing GoodGymmers turned up on this beautiful bright and sunny Saturday morning to meet the lovely and very plant-knowledgeable Tom at Hillside Garden Park. Our first task was to dead head the rose bushes and rake up the autumnal leaves surrounding the rose bush. We then headed over to a different area of the park to plant Daffodil, Snowdrop and Snake (?) bulbs in various ring shapes and linear patterns in the ground next to where the trees will get planted when they eventually get delivered! A job well done by all, and we look forward to revisiting the gardens in the spring to see our bulbs having sprouted and grown!
