This week may have been a mucky task but it takes a bit more than a bit of muck to put off this top troop of poopa scoopas!
Today 11 of us were on hand to help Cultivate London fill up as many bags of manure as we possibly could so that they have lots of good soil to use on their wonderful green projects across the borough. It meant a trip to Ealing Riding School as they have the right animals to provide the goods we needed to bag up 💩.
We also had a couple of reasons to celebrate tonight too! 🥳
Divya joined us for his 50th good deed!
And secondly GoodGym Ealing were honoured this week as one of the volunteer groups contributing to Queens Award for Voluntary Service received by the William Hobbayne Charity. We received a special badge to recognise the amazing support from our GoodGym crew!
Harvey collected the badge on the group's behalf last weekend and the award was presented by the lord lieutenant, we feel very special to play a part in the amazing work the William Hobbayne Charity does in our borough.

Tuesday night nine of us took on the Elthorne Park burdock and won. We got to Elthorne Park , gathered our tools and started clearing up the burdock plant. We cleared and filled two bags. We were joined by Salini who completed her first mission, yay! We may need to back in a couple of weeks to do some watering, so keep an eye out. Next week, we’ll be heading to Transition Community Garden to trim the hedges and brambles, so sign up!

This was probably - no, definitely - no, probably, our last trip to the severed land .
(so called when the Greater London Council realigned the River Brent as part of a flood alleviation scheme in the 1980s and the new position cut through the Billets Hart allotments; as a consequence what had originally been the river bed became the Charity's land in exchange for the allotment land that had been lost)
We've spent a bunch of evenings here clearing the ground around young trees to give them access to light, rain and nutrients. And they're looking good on it! We are the clearing ground around trees GoodGym Jedi masters, yes, we are!
It's lovely to see the trees thrive. We can scoot along the Fitzherbert Walk footpath and admire the part we played in keeping this area looking good for years to come. Oh, and there were about a million ants trying to get us but we sheared on regardless!

On a mild spring evening, GoodGymers from far and wide descended on Walpole Park in Ealing. Our mission, to shovel woodchip, mulch beds and celebrate Liv's last task as our great leader!
Tonight we welcomed Branwen to the group for her first GoodGym session. She was great and instantly felt like she's been a member of the group for years!
After some silly warm up games and a little run and walk through Ealing's finest green spaces we soon had shovels in hand and wheelbarrows at the ready. We tackled the task in two group on opposite sides of the park.
Adam said the night had 'top bantz!' what more could we ask for?!
Milly was having so much fun dancing around between shoveling that she fell down the mulch heap. Even topper bantz!
The task flew by and before we knew it Liv was subjecting us to her last fitness session which of course finished with Sally Squats!
We ended up in Brewdog to share food, drink and memories. The best of bantz!
Thanks Liv, we’ll miss you very mulch!
