This weekend we headed over to the Cambridge Museums site to help set up and pack down the Cambridge Fesival's Family Weekend. We had a warm welcome from Jennie and the team who were busy getting everything organised for a fun weekend of workshops and activities.
It was brilliant to have new GoodGymer, Hope, join us for her first community misson 💪
In true GoodGym style, we cracked on with the heavy lifting, moving tables, chairs and sofas to help set up activity rooms and relaxation rooms.
There was a buzzing atmosphere and it was a great task for some strength training!

A lovely sunny morning pruning gooseberry bushes and apple trees at Margaret Wright Community Orchard.
We learned lots from Leo about how to shape properly, looking out for branches growing into the centre of the tree and those that would block the light of others. For a first go, we were pleased with the outcome!
It was lovely to meet new a GoodGymer,Sophia, and thanks to the team from Abbey People for being so welcoming. We look forward to next time.

We had a beautiful morning at Fulbourn parkrun marshaling and timekeeping. It was great to meet new people and we enjoyed a much needed cuppa to warm up afterwards!

On a freezing morning, the hole digging soon made us warm. Each fruit Bush needed a hole loads bigger than the pot it was in because the ground underneath had not been disturbed ever before and so it was solid rock and clay. Those poor roots needed all the help we could give them! Then we moved on to straightening up and strengthening the fencing protecting it all. Many thanks to Nick and Harriet - we made a good team alongside Caitlin and her other helpers.
