Hammersmith and Fulham Report written by Michelle
Four Goodgymers from Hounslow and Ealing were so keen to hang out with each other they signed up for not one but two tasks helping out Traid with their stock clearance. TRAID is an environmental charity working to tackle and solve the problems caused by producing, consuming and disposing of clothes.
After finishing up at the Hammersmith store, Sevan and Kash set off on foot, while Chris and I jumped on our bikes and headed over to Shepherd’s Bush, where we met Holly.
The five of us got stuck in, removing clothes from hangers, piling the stock into giant boxes and collecting the hangers up and boxing them away. Every season the Traid stores do a rotation and restock and Goodgym has been helping out for several years now.
The team at Shepherd’s Bush are always pleased to see us and within an hour we’ve usually powered through and cleared the store. Tonight was no different.

Hounslow Report written by Anastasia Hancock (she/her)
Despite the grey skies and looming threat of rain, nothing could bring down the energy in Hammersmith on Saturday morning. GoodGym was proud to provide volunteer marshals for the West London Queer Project’s annual 10km walk, raising funds and awareness for Motor Neurone Disease, and bringing together communities together in solidarity, colour, and kindness.
As rainbow flags fluttered and everybody got ready for the off, we gathered for a quick briefing. We were assigned our marshalling points and quickly dispersed to get into position before the walkers set off. Our job: to cheer, guide, encourage, and ensure that every walker stayed on course and felt supported along the way.
The route was bursting with positivity—smiles, music, flags and a parade of brilliantly behaved dogs that added even more joy to the day. Rain or shine, the walkers powered on, and we were proud to be part of a movement that radiated acceptance, resilience, protest and celebration.
Once the final walkers had crossed the finish line, we regrouped and were each handed a well-earned medal. From there, it was off to a local pub, where the celebrations continued. We marked not only the amazing fundraising total but also a beautiful milestone: GoodGymers Johnny and Holly’s anniversary. The couple met at the inaugural walk three years ago, and they were rewarded with a shout out and a bottle of prosecco from Beary Poppins.
The entertainment carried on into the afternoon, with incredible drag queen performances, sing-alongs, and plenty of dancing. This mission was a reminder of why community events matter. They bring people together, raise awareness, and make space for everyone to be seen and celebrated. GoodGym was honoured to play a part.

Hounslow Report written by Anastasia Hancock (she/her)
It was lovely to see the Hounslow (and reps from Richmond, Ealing and H&F) crew come together for one big community mission ahead of our Christmas social.
Our job for the evening was to spread a little Christmas joy for the young people at the hospital where Lucy works by writing festive cards to be delivered to the ward.
There were colourful pens, drawings, poems and lots of love and laughter as we got through dozens and dozens of cards for our little friends.
Job done, it was time to down pens and up glasses as we enjoyed a meal together, reminiscing about the year we've had and looking forward to the next one. Happy holidays everybody!
