“Crate Expectations: Packing Up for the Community!”

Hammersmith and Fulham Report written by Jalal El Farmawi

Today’s mission was all about teamwork and making a practical difference. We helped sort, organise and pack a wide range of food and essential items, carefully checking dates and grouping products into labelled crates ready for distribution. The space was quickly transformed into an efficient packing hub, with everyone pitching in to keep things moving smoothly. It was a busy but rewarding session, and by the end we had prepared a large number of boxes to support local people who need a little extra help. Great teamwork, good energy, and a real sense of achievement knowing these supplies will make a positive difference in the community.

“Can-do Attitude!”

Hammersmith and Fulham Report written by Jalal El Farmawi

We helped sort and organise food donations, putting tins and supplies into the correct storage areas so everything is easy to access for the next session. After that, we worked together to reset the church hall by stacking chairs and returning the space to its original layout. It was a smooth and efficient session, with great teamwork and a positive atmosphere. It felt rewarding to support the foodbank and help keep things running well for the community.

A Thread-mend-ous Evening 🧣

Hammersmith and Fulham Report written by Cheski Kennedy (she/her)

Last night’s mission to Bassuah Legacy Foundation was stitched together beautifully — and honestly? We absolutely nailed it.

We kicked things off at Shepherd’s Bush station with our usual pre-task buzz. Huge shoutout to Ali on their very first GoodGym session! You didn’t just show up — you showed out. And welcome to your first Group Run Jasmine and Jalal. First time experiencing the magic that is controlled chaos in a charity shop… and you handled it like pros. Consider yourselves officially initiated.

Once inside, we got straight to work supporting Bassuah’s incredible mission of uplifting and empowering single families in need. Our task? Bring order to the kingdom of donations. And oh, did we deliver.

  • Tops were tamed

  • Hats were herded

  • Scarves were sorted

  • Bedding was beautifully bundled

We worked like a dream team — coordinated, considerate, and efficient — even while honouring Tina’s (very firm!) request that we not move things around too much. Did that stop us from being effective? Absolutely not. We organised with precision. We shuffled strategically. We maximised impact within our “minimal movement” brief.

And because we can’t help ourselves, we’ve already started brainstorming ways to transform the basement storage into additional selling space. More rails, clearer layout, better flow — imagine the fundraising potential! Watch this space… we’ve got plans.

Same time next month — comfy clothes, positive energy, and plenty more good vibes.🙌

What a fantastic effort, team! Love the energy and teamwork — such a great impact for an amazing cause. 👏 Sounds like a brilliant evening and a huge welcome to the newcomers! You smashed your first session! “Tops were tamed, hats were herded” — love the teamwork and the creativity! Great work everyone. Amazing job supporting such an important mission — organised, efficient, and full of good vibes as always! Big shoutout to the whole crew for making such a difference (and respecting the minimal movement brief too!). Great work team! The charity shop doesn’t stand a chance against GoodGym efficiency. Love seeing new faces getting stuck in — welcome to the GoodGym family! Sounds like a productive and fun session — same time next month, let’s go! Brilliant impact in just one evening — teamwork really does make the dream work! Such a positive and inspiring report — well done everyone for giving your time and energy. 💛
