11 Goodgym superstars came out on a slightly damp Saturday morning to help Tom out at Hillside Gardens
We were back at Hillside Gardens this morning to continue the work we began last year. We had a whole load of new people to Goodgym this week which was awesome and meant we were able to get lots done!
First timers ๐ Steph and Sadaf were tasked with weeding around the planters and against the walls. They also harvested some potatoes so congratulations and hopefully someone enjoys those with their dinner ๐ฅ
Meanwhile Amesh, Ali and Kit were introduced to the pesky garlic weeds which are still lurking in the flower beds. They dug out loads and planted a few more sapling trees.
Joao, Emily and India were down the bottom of the hill collecting lots and lots of leaves and taking them to the soon to be re-organised compost heap.
And finally Hillside Gardens legends Nathan and Kaz were tidying up some of the yard area, tipping out smelly water and checking the trees that were planted last year. They're still alive and looking good.
We'll be back at Hillside every Saturday in January so come along again!

Kit earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Kit completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Kit was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Kit has done their first good deed with GoodGym.
Kit is a now a fully fledged GoodGym runner. They've just run to do good for the first time. They are out there making amazing things happen and getting fit at the same time.

On a beautiful, mild and sunny October Saturday morning, Charlotte, Kit, Alison and I met at Moorlands Gardens to help out with laying a new path. This was Kit & Alisonโs first GoodGym Mission and they both got stuck as we worked together to cut back some of the overgrown borders, fill up the wheelbarrow with woodchip, and re-lay the path for the winter. We stopped counting the number of barrow-trips back and forth but there were a LOT. Having done more than we thought weโd be able to achieve in 90mins, we downed tools and skipped off to enjoy the afternoon Hoping Kit & Alison had a rewarding time and will be back for more GG goodness! ๐๐๐ชต
