A beautiful evening at Cody Dock,blue skies,sunshine and a couple of chinooks overhead.

Continuation of railing glossing as the mission Basia had planned for is this evening.

We welcomedInengite for his first Goodgym mission,thank you to Charlotte and Mathew for introducing him to the joys of Goodgym.

Claudia,Graham,Rosa and Kevin joined Mathew,Charlotte and Inengite double checking and painting any missed areas from last time.

Hilary and I headed further down the dock to start where we finished last time,we were soon joined by the rest of the team and managed to get a large section completed.

After the brilliant picnic at Cody Dock on Saturday tonights mission was to get the gazebos packed away and picnic tables back to their original positions

We welcomed Becky who has been looking forward to finally get to see Cody Dock....I think she was impressed.

As a few of us took part in getting the Dock ready for the picnic Basia didnt have to much explaining to do.

Hilary and Kevin set off to pack away the tables and chairs while Rosa Siobhan Mathew and I started to get down the bunting off the gazebos. Graham Claudia Miriam and Miriam took down the signage and hand sanitiser dispensers.

We then joined together to dismantle the gazebos and transport them to the storage unit.

The final thing was to move the large picnic tables back to the dockside....they are so heavy.

Kevin and I ran into Cody Dock to be greeted by Basia who advised us of the change of plan for tonight mission.

Instead of watering,painting and oiling we would be moving,shifting and erecting.....

Hilary,Graham and Rosa opted for a walk along the River Lea this evening,which is completely understandable as they got their marathon training run in that morning.

Charlotte ,Mathew and Miriam came from the less scenic side of Cody Dock.

Cable unplugging and gazebo transporting was the first job on Basia and Simon's list of jobs to be completed...then came the heavy lifting....picnic benches needed to be relocated before gazebo erection could begin..definitely a full body workout tonight finishing the session with some gentle bunting hanging stretches.

We also participated in a photo shoot (ensuring good product placement) as part of The Line promotion of their new art work(photos to follow)

The reason for the move,lifting,erecting and hanging is for Cody Docks first public event of 2021

On Saturday 11am- 5pm they are having a picnic....more info in the photos.

We shall be helping out at the event so sign up to come and help out for a couple of hours or bring a picnic and enjoy the sits and sounds of Cody Dock.

Then some of us again headed to the pub for refreshments.
