IT'S SNOWING!!!!!
Just as it started to come down we got out and got to Common Thread @Union Street to meet Jessica who welcomed us in to the lovely warm space and took us upstairs to the sorting room with offers of hot drinks and snacks! We'll definitely be coming back!
The evenings task was to help sort clothes, shoes and accessories, ready for the upcoming clothes swap that's taking place this Sat 23rd Nov. We got stuck in, grabbing bags and sorting them to make sure items were in good condition and in the correct category.
We even made a SHOE MOUNTAIN before pairing these beauties up, ready for their next owners.
It was a fantastic task and one we will be going back to over winter which is ideal for some winter warmth and light!
Until next time, happy running! :)

This week we headed back to ROCK ST to rock on with some litter picking of the area.
We met Karen to get bagged up and grab some pickers and got straight to it!
It really is starting to get cold out there now, so we kept it moving and thankfully were heading uphill to keep the internal radiator on.
After a good session on Rock Street we headed back down the hill to drop bags, grab a photo and return our equipment to Karen.
A great session once again and always lovely to support Karen with the constant efforts she puts in to keep the area clean and litter free.
Until next time, happy running! :)

A HUGE #GGSHEFF welcome to new runner:
Give him a whoop, hola, cheer and follow!
Great to meet with you and have a chat Ben, hope you're back again with Steph in the near future!
This weeks task took us back to Lynwood Gardens, a lovely section of a re-routed part of the Sustrans National Cycle Network (NCN) that keeps people off the busier Glossop Road.
We'd not been back for a while, so we got stuck straight in with the following tasks:
In a short space of time the path was looking a whole lot clearer and the line of sight much improved, making it much more accessible and less intimidating for any users.
We also hear that the next task with Sustrans would be Simon's last as he passes the reigns to John Kirkword who will be leading on all things Sustrans and goodgym in 2025. He has kindly offered to buy us a drink at the end of the next Sustrans task at The Durham Ox on Dec 2nd. I think it should be us buying him a drink for the efforts he's put in though!
Until next time, happy running :)
