We were at Dads Lane this evening for a big brick move. Steve got on a great playlist which included Livin On A Prayer...the lyrics We're Half Way There felt apt as it felt like we were half way there for ageees. Eventually however we managed to move three big piles of bricks! Rachel was a machine moving bricks and also getting involved organising them with Liam. Sofeen was a welcome late edition getting stuck in too with loads of moving.
Kate from Ampersand projects needed the space for her forest school activity over summer and despite running a full day of sessions tomorrow also got stuck in with the brick move.
A very successful start to the week! Thanks everyone!

This evening was a an evening of firsts, with our first task in Kings Norton and we also welcomed Helen to her first GoodGym task, welcome Helen!
We set off from our meeting point at Bournville Station and heading down the canal towards Kings Norton. This evening we collected 2 big bags of rubbish from around the station, to make sure its prepped for the new railway line due to open later this year (hopefully!). Following a quick diversion to the shelter of the station to hide from the rain, we finished up our litter picking, dropped the bags off and ran back towards Bournville via Cotteridge Park.
Great job everyone!

Tonight, 5 GoodGymers got to work on some litter picking around the Jewellery Quarter.
We filled a bag full of rubbish, with James finding a stella box, hence the pun!
Once the task was done we headed on a run of around 4k, only a pretty baltic evening, Ramiz certainly warmed up on the run, stripping down to just a t-shirt!
Once done, it was time to get back in the warmth as a few of the group stopped for some post run refreshments :)
