Haringey Report written by Sarah Moore (She/her )
7 runners braved the sudden cold snap to help the Westbury Nature reserve prepare for a pond. Welcome to newcomer Martin who recently took running - give him a cheer for coming out on such chilly evening!
Missing Pennie we did her very bouncy flexor coordination warmup.
Unfortunately the very cool badgers living on the reserve were sleeping in their sett when we came. Task owner Luke told us about plans to install a webcam, so we can all be badger voyeurs.
Ritu came extra prepared for the mud, by accidentally running in her Docs! Speaking of docs, Marusha failed her doc check but redeemed herself later by twice running home for the correct documents. Soon she will be a fully fledged mission or coach runner.
Thank you Ritu, Oli, Dave and Marusha for this crowdsourced run report.

This week 6 GoodGymers can 3km to spread the good word (of GOODGYM).
Our new task was canceled due to asbestos, so we will have to wait to go get stufk in with that one. Instead, we headed around the local streets posting GoodGym flyers through doors. Hopefully they lead to a few referrals and/or new runners!
Julie was able to drop in to help with the task before roller derby practice; and Liam was back for the first time in ages!
Once all the flyers were done, we headed to in front of the Town Hall for some sprint drills, working on knee drive and active ankles, followed by a fun knee tapping game.
This is a great game are used to play when I taught tae kwon do. Everybody got stuck in and five rounds later everyone was beat! Just enough energy left for a gentle shake out back to base for stretches!

This week, 6 fabulous GoodGymers ran 4km to return to an old old task and strip paint.
Tonight's task of old was accompanied by the return of Sarah, who we've not seen forever while she's been off running a group run of her own.
Things started as they always do with intros and warm ups at base, before heading off on our 2km 1st leg to KORI.
Cathy was our trusty back-marker while Sarah lead the way.
When we got to Kori, Haringey's former trainer Varon was there to meet us with the tools for the task. He handed the bag over, explained the task to the group and then left us to it.
The team split into three groups, scraping the paint off the almost finished railings. There was some great tapping technique happening from Ritu and Nurjehan, while Sarah was being careful not to disturb the spider.
Before long the 30 minutes were over and it was time to tidy up and fill our backpacks with all the equipment we'd been given.
We then did a few burpees, squats and press ups for good measure before a couple of minutes of free play. We finished off with some mobility drills, including 'don't-headbutt-the-wall squats' and 'slo-mo-kick-over-the-fence'.
The team did some great running and carrying on the way home, big shout out to all of you for pulling together to help out.
Don't forget about the social tomorrow. Check the parties page for the deets. See you next week!

This week 8 brilliant GoodGym-ers ran 2km to help out at a brand new task!
We were helping the resident's association with a community garden project. All of the weeding and pruning until the over-grown garden looked twice the size!
As always, we started with the burpee name game to warm up and make sure we all knew who was who.
We then took an extended loop to get across the road, where we met Beth to collect the tools and find out what to do.
40 minutes later and we had cleared the lot. It was time to return the tools, take a team photo and say our goodbyes.
We headed over to the doctors' surgey carpark for some sprints and burpees. Nurjehan beat Dave in a great show of speed, and Ritu doubled up with an extra sprint to make up the numbers.
We then headed back to base for stretches and a debrief. Great work, folks!
