It was a warm evening tonight! 9 GoodGymer's ran, cycled and walked bravely up Gas Hill to St Matthew's church.
We met Penny & Eddie who handed round drinks and pointed out where to work in the grounds and the car park, pulling up weeds and cutting back overgrown brambles & branches.
We started around the war memorial, pulling weeds from the paving around it, and cleaning off the dried moss.
In an hour we had also cleared the areas around the church sign, and improved access to the car park entrance.
Shout out to Mildrade, Konstantina and Hepsi joining us for their first group session! It was lovely meeting you all.

phew it was hot! but 390 people still turned out to run/jog/walk around the park. it was very difficult in the heat for volunteers also, except if you were in the woods which was cool. Roisin found a food way to carry all the equipment needed for the Church Street turn by using her cycle to transport everything, she even cycled up the pathway, well done it was a great balancing act.

501 people set off from the start line on a warm, sunny morning . Pacers from Norwich Road Runners were about with their blue numbered bibs & a lot of PBs were gained today for those chasing a fast time. There were again, a large number of parkwalkers which is great to see, runners & walkers in harmony, great ethos of Parkrun

What a morning! 402 regulars, tourists and a few first timers on a sunny morning made their way around Catton Park. Our very own Goodgymers Roisin was celebrating her 100th Parkrun Volunteer so look forward to seeing you in your black 💯 t shirt. The Easter Bunny was about to.
