This morning bright eyed and bushy tailed, Theodore and Emily arrived to marshal, provide support for the kids that turn up week after week for their parkrun.

In the times Emily has been there some of them have told her proudly they can run faster. Today was a milestone for one as a girl and her mum were going to complete the whole circuit this time. As Theodore says, "consistency is key".

Also, Louise volunteered at a local adult parkrun.

Well done on getting out there and supporting your local park run.

Theo & Petra met Julie on a sunny Sunday for our usual monthly visit at Hogsmill. In full bloom, it was a feast for the eyes. As usual, we tacked hedges but this time, with nicely sharpened sheers which made all the difference. See you next time.

Sunny Saturday we joined Marilyn at Canbury Community Garden to help with a few chores. Taking on the dreaded bindweeds, doing general weeding around the vegetable beds, topping up the compost heap with the weeds we shredded. and giving the garden a good soak with water fetched from the river. The team filled all the garden containers with more river water ready for the coming weeks whilst keeping an eye on the chicken trying to make a run for it.

Canbury community garden opened in 2016 and very soon after they introduced the first flock of hens.

Today 4 of us met to sort out and hang clothes ready to be brought to raise funds for this branch and ultimately funds for the British Heart Foundations Research. We even got to pretend to be models for the day, Did we succeed?
