A sunny evening helping the Friends of Eastville Park with prepping the old bowls buildings ready for the community cafe in 10 days time.

Laura and Liana helped to clear off the old peeling paint from the deco bowling pavilion ready for its new paint.

Jason tidied up a lot of overgrown weedy path edges.

Richard G cast his expert eye over a vat of bituminous paint and dabbed out some gaps/over-painting on the Nissan hut’s lovely new green paint coat.

Meanwhile Richard B hung out a-top a tall ladder with a small hammer, woodpeckering off the last of the aging paint/render to get it ready for a new coat of masonry paint.

Together we made a difference.

More next time, lots to do to get it all ready for community cake and coffee on the 15th!
