Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by York runner
For tonight's benchmarking task, we asked each team for a short summary of their benchmarking experience.
Max and Paul Kelly: We found a cluster of benches, hit the motherload! They were at 'mental region skinny' (what three words).
Chloe and Nikki: We had a stream that was meant to be a path, didn't have wellies.
To condition check the benches, we just gave them a kick!
Val and Deborah: We went round in circles. We were meant to find somewhere called fairway, it was faraway!
Mitch and Emma: We found a bench shaped like a dragonfly, a bench shaped like a butterfly and a bench shaped like a snail.
Ben and Alaya: It was perfect conditions for running, which was good because we only had one bench.
The Barretts: There are a LOT of benches along the river.
Mel and Debs: We had to kick Vicky and Gary out of our area because they were trespassing. We also took a selfie at Mitch's house. We also ranked highlighters in order of colour preference (blue is last).
Craig and Louise: I'm glad Craig was navigating, I would have got us lost.
Vicky and Gary: I really like benchmarking, it makes running much more fun (Gary).
Amy T and Paula: Amy is a top navigator (Paula), Paula is the queen of the switchbacks (Amy).
Looks at how York does to make the place an age friendly city through World Health Organisation checks. Age Friendly York is currently looking at Getting Out And About and residents are saying they need benches to break up their journey so they can get to the shops and other places.
