Walking though Liverpool's Georgian Quarter to get to the session this evening it certainly felt like a still for In The Bleak Mid Winter! The snow came in buckets and the bite in the air took my breath away. We were all very glad to be indoors this evening.
This week we chose to forgo the usual run and task and get together in the pub to chat all things GoodGym Liverpool and come up with plans for the coming year. We met in the iconic Philharmonic Dinning Rooms (more locally known as the Phil Pub) and it was so lovely to have some time together in a more social environment.
We started with a big than you, and a box of chocolates each, to our amazing volunteer Run Leaders Sophie and Sallyann for all their time and care over the past year. Sallyann later admitted she'd eaten most of the chocolates before even getting home but we suspect she had some help from Pauline who's never one to leave a GoodGymer unsupported!
We talked over plans for a refreshed Taskforce team, social time after sessions, plans for our 5th Birthday coming up in March, and getting teams together to do the relay Manchester Marathon again after the success of last year (have a look here if you are interested in getting involved with this either as a runner or on the support team!) We also welcome new member Julie to the team!
Here's to a fabulous 2023!!!
