Andrew and myself managed to complete our second GoodGym Community Mission of the day (Extra kudos to Andrew, as this was his third Community Mission/Good Deed of the Bank Holiday weekend!)
We walked across from Byker to West Jesmond, discussing what we love so much about GoodGym and ideas for future Community Missions/tasks. Essentially a productive walking meeting!
This was the 2nd part of helping Jesmond Library as we delivered more of their Spring Newsletters.
It took approximately 20 minutes for us to finish off delivering to all the streets that we had on our list.
Jesmond Library is a popular Community organisation and relies entirely on volunteers to help it run day to day. We look forward to helping again in the future!

Jesmond Library Jesmond Library is a community library, one of over 500 such libraries in the country. It is housed in a unique grade 2 listed building and is home to a wide range of books which is regularly updated.
As well as being a lending library, Jesmond Library offers a welcoming space for those who want to sit and read newspapers, to relax with a coffee, and to browse the information corner and community noticeboards. Workstations and desks are available with access to computers, printing and photocopying. The volunteers run a varied range of sessions including conversation groups in French, German, Italian and Spanish; English language classes; a book group; poetry sharing and playreading groups; Current Affairs discussions; Craft’n’Chat. The popular children’s corner is always buzzing with activity, with books and games, regular Story and Rhyme Time sessions and craft sessions during the school holidays.
