Report written by Anna (she/her)
This year, a group of Kingston's GoodGymers took part in RSPB's annual Big Birdwatch event today for one hour. There were a range of different birds spotted in public parks and gardens all around Kingston. These included: mute swans, geese, wood pigeons, grey heron, mallard duck, collared doves, a cormorant trying to dry out its wings in the sun, and ring-necked parakeets.
The RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) is the UK's largest nature conservation charity, dedicated to saving birds, wildlife, and protecting natural habitats.
