Arron and Jason made a start on cleaning the Blue Sky public art at Callington Road Hospital. It was great to see the facility and to engage with some of the patients, one of which tried to do a deal around biscuits (given to us along with tea by staff) for a cigarette! Think that's a GoodGym first! Of course we let them have a biscuit and declined their offer.

We met up with Bekki to help sort the already lovely NHS allotment out, confident that the weatherman had been telling the truth about the day's forecast. Unfortunately, the skies did open and a downpour did descend upon us, but we were not disheartened! With shovel, rake and pitchfork in hand, we got to work with and without the rain to help level out the ground ready for the polytunnel to be installed at a later date. We also helped tackle them pesky brambles who had taken deep root within the ground. We walked away confident in our efforts and more than a little wet.. We spoke with Bekki about the prospects of helping out again in the future, so until our paths cross again we wave goodbye to the allotment at the The Golden Hill Community Garden.
