When I had originally planned this task, it was before the second lockdown, and before it got so very dark so very early. So what was originally a great meeting location turned out to be almost dangerously dark. Sorry everyone, lesson learned for next time!!
Myself, David and the returning Caroline dropped off leaflets for the British Heart Foundation around the Moulsham area so they could more stock for their furniture store. Starting off near the Virgin Active Gym we wandered up down Upper Bridge Road finishing up down Redmayne Drive. We even helped to clear a road block down Upper Bridge Road and were reminded to never, ever drive down there. It was great to catch up with David and get to know Caroline a little better. Leaflets delivered we said our goodbyes and went back to our respective homes for the rest of the evening. Great job guys, see you all again soon!!
This Saturday we have our weekly 5km run, Sunday we are helping deliver food parcels and David will be busy planning our zoom Christmas party for next Wednesday. Hope to see as many people as possible for the festive games!

10 runners ran 6.5k to leaflet for the British Heart Foundation
We arrived in the fading light, discussed last night's performance at the Orange Tree quiz, and set off for our task.
Rich led the group, and Kirk back marked. Although we were only a group of ten, the team made quick work of Sunrise Avenue, then a section of Patching Hall Lane, then Woodhall Road, and finally Skerry Rise. With some time to spare, we completed a few rounds of the Avenues, our favourite Broomfield roads.
For the current Goodgym theme of International Women's Day, we posed at the bottom of Third Avenue with our #equalforequal poses. We started with just the women, however we couldn't leave the boys out. Unfortunately, the boys added a bit more menace to the photo than intended.
Well done everyone, we leafleted a lot of houses this evening. The British Heart Foundation have seen an impact in donations to their Chelmsford store, so we're quite sure our work is paying off for them!

16 runners made a date of it leafletting Chelmer Village and Springfield
Hello everyone! My first GoodGym lead since the famed Halloween run report began with some superb Valentine's themed puns. It was a shame Doug couldn't make it tonight, as I know he is a huge fan. After everyone's laughter died down we took a photo, and definitely did a head count....
Rich warmed us up and we set off running up the bunny walks, past the prison and beyond Chelmer Village retail park. Loading everyone up with lots and lots of love, jelly babies and leaflets we headed off up Beeleigh Link. And then it all went perfectly to plan, with Russel C leading people wildly down Cusack Avenue (I took a photo of the street in case we had to do a missing persons report later) and we shot up the various roads trying to get furniture donations for BHF. After a brief moment of silence to remember those we lost, they turned up! From the top of there we headed to the pub, which our Endeavours deserved but sadly had a task to do so couldn't stop for a pint (that is for next week). We headed from there leafletting through Springfield to Simon's local, The Tulip, and back down to the river. We then did a Gerry special - lamppost sprints!
Everyone got a thorough workout and we headed back to ARU for some Valentine's chocolates and to polish off the jelly babies. Don't forget next Thursday is the February social - Chelmsford beer festival! We will be getting there at about 6pm and drinking it dry!
Thanks to everyone for coming, especially Kirk who was the only one who laughed at all of the jokes in the run briefing! I am just glad we made it back....

13 runners took part in this weeks group run, our task was to deliver leaflets on behalf of the BHF (British Heart Foundation) and our chosen streets in Chelmsford were the Avenues.
BHF are in need of more furniture/electricals for the High Street store, hopefully we will have contributed to them getting more donations.
Welcome to Isabelle at her second run with us.
The news this week was a reminder to sign up to the** Chelmsford Good Friday 10k, congratulations to **Kirk for his 5 consecutive PB's at parkrun, looking forward to this week parkrun Kirk...no pressure!
Next weeks run we meet at B&M car park for the run to Kids Inspire.
We headed for the short trip to the Avenues by warming up along the cycle path with walking lunges, bum kicks, toe and heel walks and in the underpass squats and star jumps.
Raring to go after the warm up, the group was split into two with each group heading up First Avenue posting the leaflets through the letterboxes. It was then a Tempo run back down the Avenue the distance is 400m. We repeated this on Second, Third, fourth and Fifth avenues until we exhausted the leaflets.
We then headed onto Bunny Walk but before we returned to the Uni a special surprise of shuttle runs up the footpath to Arun Close, up and back to six lampposts.
Well done everyone, that was a really good running and fitness session.
Finally, a warm down stretch with Andy handing out Haribo's in celebration of his 12 month Goodgym birthday. But I can't sign off without mentioning that one of this weeks sign ups decided to meet us at next weeks task meeting point elsewhere in the City!! Oh dear!!

12 runners ran just under 7km to deliver leaflets on behalf of the British Heart Foundation
We welcomed everyone to the second goodgym group run of 2020, including Isabelle on her first goodgym group run, and Clive on his second group run.
After I confused Catherine with Rachel, assuming she and Joel were a couple, we warmed up and Rich led us out.
We made a brief stop at Rich's to collect the leaflets, and met David there, back from injury on his first goodgym run since November.
The group then continued down to Moulsham Drive, where we split in half to deliver the leaflets. After completing that in record time, we continued to deliver leaflets along Vicarage Road and Braemar Avenue.
I briefly panicked about everyone's location, with Russell and Julie bravely completing the first half of Vicarage Road, David and Rich going to Dovedale, and Catherine, Isabelle, Sallyann and Jenny, working further along Vicarage Road. However, we all grouped together, I did a headcount, and we made our way back to ARU through the park.
Great effort everyone - we delivered plenty of leaflets, and hopefully encouraged some Chelmsford residents to donate their unused furniture to raise funds for a worthwhile cause. And of course, a final shout out to Akin, who put on the hi-vis this week and did an excellent job backmarking throughout the run and task.
Don't forget, we're going to the quiz at the Golden Fleece next week, from 8pm!
