Community food store and cafe
Intercepts surplus food from going to waste to redistribute in our open-access community cafe and shop. We feed bellies not bins and welcome anyone regardless of need to tackle the climate emergency, build community and reduce social isolation also providing many work experience /volunteering/job opprotunities.

We were down to 2 volunteers as Penny was not well. So Mike and I got stuck in to tidying up after Planet Food, and also tidying up after all the other chaotic groups that leave their crumbs, glitter, squashed raspberries and gunk on the Southlands floor! Jess from Planet Food was up to her ears in organic produce, so we both went home with a tuperware of veggie curry. Thanks very much! Get well soon Penny!
