Jp, Susannah, Sabina, Manuela and Adam attended our quarterly visit to the Richmond Furniture Scheme.

We we were tasked by RFS Volunteer Coordinator Lucy with raking up and clearing the overgrown ivy, weeds and brambles in the yard. This makes it more presentable and accessible for would be customers visiting the Scheme.

Needless to say the ivy and brambles caused much rakes and pains, but as seasoned Good Gymmer's we were able to rake this off and re-leaf RFS of this yard work.

Six GGers turned out for our quarterly Richmond Furniture Scheme visit.

This included Jenna , attending Richmond Furniture Scheme for the first time, three keen cyclists, one walker and a runner.

Once we recovered from our various exertions the challenge set by Volunteer Co-Coordinator Lucy to clear the assembly point of furniture including a puzzling draws set and shelving.

The fan was started and we edged closer by moving the shelving piece by piece and by the end of the challenge, the assembly point was all clear.

We made it!

Six GGers turned out for our first visit this year to Richmond Furniture scheme.

Saturday's job, assigned by RFS CEO Simon, was to strip down a stash of pallets so that they could then reuse the wood.

Provided with claw hammers, crow bars and other bits and pieces from the workshop, we set about our work.

JP and Luis proved adept at hammer time, Suze, meanwhile was tasked with the challenging removing the nails from the wood once It was broken up, while Harry, Chris and Adam attempted to take it in turns with a particularly stubborn pallet that was too well constructed.

Overall,however, this mission proved a smashing success!

Our monthly RFS visit saw 2 GGRs turn out on a rather damp Saturday morning.

We welcomed Evelyn for one of her first Good Gym tasks, and along with Adam was assigned the challenge of clearing another of the side passage ways to provide further storage space.

This proved a highly effective work out, moving items such as a broken ladder, footballs and other heavy objects.

By the end a mysterious door was uncovered, proving that the phrase when one door closes another opens highly appropriate!

Four GGers arrived with a paw-sitive mindset for the monthly RFS task of making the yard look tidy.

Chris set about chopping back the ivy and using the trusty magnetic sweeper to remove any loose nails lying around.

Rosie and Monika meanwhile were weeding and clearing the greenery near the fence, while Adam, with his trusty litter picker cleared the litter.

This combined with the aid of a fury friend ensured the yard was looking nice and purr-fect.

Good Gym’s monthly visit to the Richmond Furniture Scheme visit saw four GGers tasked with clearing the side and back of the RFS warehouse In other words, making it vine and dandy!

On cloudy, overcast day and armed with loppers and hoes, both Monika and Chris set about clearing the side passage finding items such as a skateboard and an old cup as well as other odds and ends.

While JP and Adam set about clearing the vines and weeds off the passage gate.

Overall a vine old time was had by all!
