This was our follow up task to help St Anthony's primary school with a play house painting task.

It needed its second coat (maybe more!). Lucky for me Sara signed up last minute otherwise it would have been as solo job today.

Within one hour, a second coat had been applied, window frames done and a small section of the inside.

Will be booking in a third visit as sometimes just the two of us isn't enough

We had a return visit to a lovely primary school this evening, with the task of painting a wendy house.

Knowing we would need gloves Eva turned up with her farming gloves which took over her whole body - we kept her at arm's length tonight!

With three vibrant colours to choose from, we split up into 2 teams of 2 and a lone ranger.

Sara with her painting knowledge and skills was given the intricate task of the orange paint (yellow to Eva) for the window frames.

Pam and Eva were green with envy when they saw how Royalist Blue Jessica and I were!

A few minor mishaps never hurt anyone except Sara... whose line of the night was...

Perfection takes time

She's not wrong there...we did also get a ticking off for being a bit heavy handed on the amount of paint on the brushes... but hey ho... we know we are always in good art with Sara... she's got skills... plus it was her birthday!

Great task which will require a repeat visit soon... we told Alpita, our task owner... no problem!

Today four of us got together on Thursday evening to help out St Anthony's School with their school entrance flower beds.

At the moment the care taker is away and they have gotten a little untidy, the school were really greatful for goodgyms support to make quick work of the beds.

We had several flowers to plant, which our resident gardener Pam took one look at and knew exactly what to do.

Expertly guided by Pam- Sara and Milly begun digging out the weeds, avoiding the earwigs and re-planting the daffodil bulbs.

Sut was on photos and watering after she had planted her flowers.

The job was over before we knew it and the beds were looking fresh and welcoming again.

The headteacher was so greatful, and hopefully we will have some more tasks from her soon!

It was a lovely sunny evening and great to see everyone. Thanks to Sara for leading and for everyones effort! Finished with some cheeky Creme Eggs.

For the past few weeks we've been helping with the Church grounds but this evening we found ourselves helping out at the adjoining school - St Anthony's Primary School.

With the site staff busy preparing the school for the start of term, the usual jobs in the playgrounds sadly had to be left - that's where we come in!

With two play areas needing to be swept, Sara Sut and I got to work.

Pam was a little late today ... apparently she over swept (!!!)

Systematic Sara created small piles of leaves ready to be dust panned later.

Sut was in the naughty corner for wearing the wrong Tee tonight...

In around an hour we had collected 5 bags of debris and moved a cabinet. As always, Eva and Salvo rewarded our efforts with a few treats.

Why did the broom get bad grades at school? Because he was always sweeping in class.

On the most loved up day of the year 5 Goodgymers went, holding hands, to a local primary school to help with a store room clear out task.

Two huge piles of school items, 5 strong ladies and a massive skip.

In no time at all we had cleared all the piles and our hearts were full of joy at completing the task!
