We certainly delivered tonight with 7 goodgymers at Parvaaz.
Met at Salt Hill with a few meeting at the task location, our task was sweeping up the leaves in the garden and car park area. Eva got straight to work sweeping us off our feet with her wonderful trips to Portugal. Eva the garden looks amazing.
Kam and Pam covered the alley way entrance weeding and clearing up the leaves, Agnieska helped to sweep one side of the car park whilst Mehdi and Hamid covered the other side.
Total of 12 bags WOW.
Eva kindly brought some treats for us all too.

So today we did our follow up to Monday evening task, in that we moved all the items we had moved down to Artful Hubs new unit (across the way!)
Lovely Jubbley
With the trotters r us team raring to go, we took no time at all in moving all of Eva's items across!
From me to you, you to me we lifted, shifted and trollied over crates of packed items including kitchen wear, cleaning items, arts n craft, tables and chairs - we did a cushty job!
In 90 minutes we managed to get everything shifted and even had time to help Eva reset some items into her nicely stacked shelves that Nisha and Helen took so much care over stacking up. Think Helen might have a little headache from them though!
With a tag team of keeping both units manned we did a crate job is enduring all items were safely transported.
Well done to everyone....

Our original task was always going to be a bit touch and go. Not only did we need a dry Monday but also a dry Sunday, Saturday and even Friday beforehand in order to sweep up all the pine needles...(almost like a dry January!, which we know is a struggle in it's own right). So Needless to say we did have a back up plan of helping the lovely Eva at Artful Hub with a pack up task.
Artful Hub are due to move out of their Queensmere unit as the precinct is due to be partially closed off. So our task tonight was to simply help them pack up their belongings into boxes ready to be transported out.
With meet up point changed to Sainsbury's at 18.30 we were set to go. Great to have Kam join us for her first ever session. And Peter along for his second. After a quick warm up we were ready to roll!
On arrival Eva met us and gave us the task breakdown. It was at first sight a monster task! We all wondered how we were going to lift, shift, pack and stack all these items in 45 minutes!
But actually we did a crate job!!!
With a bit of thinking outside the box we had an action packed evening and managed to move a billion items (slight exaggeration!) from upstairs to downstairs and took down all the window dressing.
And that's wrap
Next week we will be back at Wexham Park Hospital helping to litter pick their car park. Our meet up point is Shaggy Calf Lane, outside King Wexham pub.

It was lovely to be back at the allotments helping Home Slough with their therapy garden project (a wellbeing project that helps expectant and new mums with a safe space to get together and watch their seeds blossom)
As usual we met on Shaggy Calf Lane where we did the task brief and warm up. The warm up was a round circle where each participant offered the next exercise. We swiftly moved on after Savi suggested burpees!
On route to the allotments, Pam kindly back marked for us as we chatted and ran/walked our way to the location. We always have good chives at the allotments so we were looking forward to this task.
Sarah our task owner had asked us to tidy up plot 5. On arrival we worked out which one was plot 5 (the one we had last turned over maybe a year ago and was in dire straits again!), so although we had bean there done that we really didn’t mind spending the thyme to do it all over again.
The weeds were almost as tall as us but we cracked on with sheer effort and enthusiasm to get the job done! We always like to take it to the limit but tonight Savi was on a rock n roll (not only for the puns - thank you for that) but also for cutting back the hedge to create some space to move around the plot!
Tonight’s effort really was all about :-
We fought the lawn and the lawn won … some of these weeds are just staying alive staying alive ah ha ha staying alive!
Just take a leek at the before and after photos to see the difference we made!
When you want a job done… get the GoodGym team in as we always
stand by your plan!
After finishing the task in a record 45 minutes we had plenty of thyme for a fitness session based on agility!
Plenty of single leg hops, lateral shuffled, in/in/out/outs and lateral hops to keep us in slim trim shape!
Next week we are helping Slough Refugees with their garden space! Come and join us if you are free?

This week we moved our usual Monday night session to today in order to commemorate Remembrance Day.
The task was relatively straightforward -a litter pick around the memorial park. However, the run part was more like up and down and round and round.
We met at the pond which was not smelling of roses and pretty pitch black around the area... lucky for us Ricky came dressed as a lightbulb!
With a warm (that I soon regretted after pairing up with Claire that involved mirroring your partner, we headed off deep into the park to do some lamppost to lamppost intervals followed by a meet and retreat!
Eva and Jessica then saved the day by joining us for the litter pick and laying the wreath.
We had a lovely walk n talk into the gardens as we collected any rubbish we could find all the way to the memorial plaque.
Here, we laid the beautiful wreath made by Antz Kids and held a 2 minute silence to pay our respects.
This was a really lovely, moving yet simple session enjoyed by everyone.
As Eva and Jess walked back home, leaving the rest of us to do some Sally squats and then spend the rest of the evening working out how to use tik tok! Sadly we didnt 'save' the video!
Thank you for a memorable evening!

It was so lovely to be back at St George's Church. We really do love this task venue.
We meet at Kennedy Park and knowing we only has a short walk/run to the task we decided to go for the hills! The views from this park are actually quite stunning!
After our hill sprints we made our way to the task venue - We had to get to the Church on thyme!
On arrival we met Eva, who showed us to the area that needed our help.
The garden has definately missed us as the weeds had shot back up! But we didn't moss around. Each one of us grabbed a tool and got to work.
With all the tasks now being in the dark (which weirdly I find more theraputic!) the night lights were out as we set to work on the 'circle of life' paving slabs.
The topic of the evening was Brexit! We realised that the lack of bread and pasta in Sainsbury's is making us feel like nothing compares to EU
Literally in a jiffy we had the circle looking like it had had a good cut back and sides! We are actually quite good at makeovers!
Thank you Eva for our olive treats at the end - 'Olive you so much'!
Next week we are back at Wexham Park Hospital for a litter pick task.
